Fire station with housing units

Competition

The project is a proposal for a new fire station in reinbeck, close to hamburg, that includes a hall for 10 fire trucks, office units and housing units for the firefighters. Interpreting the work of the firefighters as an extremely organized one, the suggested building is a conglomerate of different parts that are representing the functional units. One is for the cars and the mechanical offices, one is for the changing zone, one is for the housing units with a separate entrance to the building on the backside. Like an industrial building with sheds the project can be seen as a small city in a city.
